“Find out who you are and do it on purpose.” ― Dolly Parton
I've spent a lot of time trying to figure out my purpose. In my quest to identify my life's purpose, I turned to Simon Sinek's insightful handbook, Find Your Why: A Practical Guide for Discovering Purpose for You and Your Team, complemented by his book Start with Why: How Great Leaders Inspire Everyone to Take Action.

While on this quest, a fundamental realization emerged: my motivation is rooted in acts of service. Whether through ideas, financial contributions, or time, my approach has always been to give wholeheartedly. My belief is simple: by sowing positivity and kindness, one can expect a harvest of the same in return. A recent encounter with a former co-worker affirmed this belief. Amidst drinks, laughs, and casual conversation, he shared that people genuinely like me. While his language was colorful and included expletives, the sentiment was clear. In a world often dominated by greed and power, I've consistently chosen a path of integrity. Even when presented with opportunities to profit from others' misfortunes, I've remained steadfast in my commitment to doing what's right. My conviction is clear: my purpose revolves around helping, not harming.

With that being said, I'm excited to announce my partnership with +Purpose to elevate this mission. Every purchase from our site will contribute to a greater cause. At Sainte Jean, we're cultivating a premium ecosystem where every transaction and article contributes to the betterment of society. We pledge to allocate 5% of each purchase towards charitable initiatives, partnering with causes such as EcoTree, Education Credit Union, Ilara Health, and The Trevor Project.
After dedicating time and effort to bettering the lives of others, it's imperative to indulge in self-care. After all, one cannot fill another's cup if their own is empty. In revisiting my skincare routine, I've opted to reintroduce a facial steamer that has been used once. The one that I have has been discontinued, but I recommend the Newbealer Facial Steamer, for anyone interested in adding it to their arsenal. For those who have asked nothing about my routine, here's an overview of the products I've been using:
It's worth noting that upon incorporating Peach Slices Acne Toner into my regimen, I experienced a breakout. According to Business Insider, this could indicate skin purging—a reaction when a new skincare product causes temporary skin issues such as breakouts, peeling, or flaking, which is different from a regular breakout. I'll continue using the toner and monitor its effects over the next six weeks as suggested.
If you have time, check out the Sainte Jean piece of the week, H.R. 6830 from the Bills, Bills, Bills collection. This shirt highlights the Books Saves Lives Act introduced by Rep. Ayanna Pressley.
